Simon Needham made a cracking start to his foray into Ultra distance running finishing second in his first attempt.
In his first race in excess of 26.1 miles, Simon finished third overall and second man home over 40 miles in a time of 6:28 at the Grim Reaper Ultra in Grimsthorpe on Friday, July 13. Wet and muddy he completed the gruelling challenge all in the name of charity – feel free to back his efforts in aid of the NSPCC Children’s Centre in Peterborough at www.justgiving.com/simonneedham1
Jim Morris followed up the feat finishing first veteran and fourth overall in the Grimsthorpe half marathon on Sunday, July 15, in a time of 1:24.22.
