Support your Striders at the London Marathon
Posted by Suzanne on 07 April 2012
Several Striders will be running the London Marathon on Sunday, April 22 - and with their weeks of training 'in the bag' it's time to show them your support. Vicky Old is raising money for Beating Bowel Cancer, one of those not-so-glamorous causes that deserves far more support because bowel cancer is the UK's 2nd biggest killer. You can help Vicky to help those who'll be affected by sponsoring her. David Babbs is running to raise money for the Prostate Cancer Charity and Breast Cancer Care (aka Team PB), which supports those affected by these two most common forms of cancer. You'll find his fundraising page by clicking here. Richard Rae is supporting Cancer Research UK, having raised a monster £4,400 for charity through last year's event. Link to Richard's fundraising page and, if you're looking for a well-written sports report, leave this page swiftly and check out his blog. Nikki Loomes is running for the brain injuries charity Headway and meningitis research and support. If you know Nikki and would like to donate, please get in touch with her directly through Facebook, by email or phone. Nick Wells, Caroline Gasper, Cat DavisonGuy Peckett, Stephen Parker, Simon Fell and Heidi Myles are also running London.
