| A flooded village green caused the Whissendine 6ix to be cancelled at short notice today. Not so much a village green as a village pond that drowned the finish area and extended across the outbound course, the water was best part of thigh deep judging by some people 'paddling'. There is a chance that the race will be rescheduled. We are in contact with the organisers - watch this space.
Grimsthorpe 10k probably going to be cancelled as it comes under the Grimsthorpe Festival which has been cancelled. We are waiting to hear if Bourne Town Harriers are going to be able to arrange the race or an alternative - watch this space.
Committee are looking at options, while waiting to hear what happens to these 2 championship races. |
