Simon and Liz Fell led home the Striders at the flat, fast Deepings 10k on Sunday (May 20). Simon was 4th, clocking 35:30, with Liz 6th woman in 46:44. Jim Morris picked up the Male Veteran prize with 35:41 and 6th place in the race. Next back was the club's lover of long distances, Steve Parker, running his 'first 10k in ages' and clocking a very respectable 40:39. Martin Cattell followed in 41:40, Algie Audas in 43:49 and Will Bryant in 44:51. Following Liz across the line for the Strider women was Julie Parker in 47:01, just six minutes after husband Steve. Joanne Teesdale (52:09) and Alan Gray (1:00:31) completed the club contingent.
